Salisbury Anchor Sea Angling Club
Formed in The Old Anchor Inn in Gigant Street, Salisbury in 1967, the Club is affiliated to the Angling Trust, Wessex Region and has both beach and boat sections which run regular competitions throughout the year. (See note for Club year 2022).
The Club holds meetings on the 1st Wednesday of every month at the Harnham Community Sports & Social Club, an Annual General Meeting and there is also an Annual Presentation of Awards night.

At the AGM held on 10.1.24, the following items were again agreed for the current Club year (2024).
1) The temporary suspension of “competition” boat trips – trips will continue to be organized (see below for dates) and members are encouraged to continue to put in claims for individual species trophies and Club records.
2) The temporary suspension of organized beach trips – members are encouraged to continue beach fishing and putting in claims for individual species trophies and Club records.
